TEODOR CURRENTZIS CONDUCTS BERG AND MAHLER — MAY 29–31 & JUNE 1, 2026

Our season finale concert: Together with Teodor Currentzis and the Utopia Orchestra, the exceptional violinist Vilde Frang will perform Berg’s Violin Concerto. Mahler’s Symphony No. 1 will be performed in the second half of the concert.

The closing concert of the 2025*2026 season

OF ANGELS AND TITANS

Alban Berg dedicated his violin concerto to the memory of an angel, namely Alma Mahler's daughter Manon. Together with Teodor Currentzis and the Utopia Orchestra, the exceptional violinist Vilde Frang will bring this angelic song to life. Mahler's First Symphony is entirely earthly in nature: from the sounds of nature to parodic funeral marches to the ‘titanic’ triumph of the nameless hero.
