Under the baton of its charismatic conductor, Andris Nelsons, the Gewandhausorchestra Leipzig – one of the world’s oldest and most highly regarded orchestras – continues its tradition of excellence with Brahms’ magnificent Symphony No. 1. Gautier Capuçon, the world-renowned cellist, joins the orchestra to perform the moving Cello Concerto, imbued with Slavic nostalgia.
